After sensing a call to ministry while attending Central College in McPherson, KS I transferred to Roberts Wesleyan where I received my B.A. in Religion & Philosophy and then subsequently earned my M. Div. and C.A.P.S. from Northeastrn Seminary. I have been in full-time pastoral ministry for over 20 years and have spent the majority of it here in Albion after being appointed as the Lead Pastor at AFMC in 2004. I am joined by my wife of 17 years, Sheryl, and our four children: Ashlyn (14), Brendan (12), Madison (9), & Jillian (7)
My life has been a wonderful journey. I was baptized as a child in a Lutheran Church, attended a United Methodist Church as a teen, and as a young adult identified as a Charismatic. My home now is serving Christ here at AFMC, trying to live in the spirit of the words of John 5:30: “I can do nothing on my own. As I hear, I judge, and my judgment is just, because I seek not my own will but the will of him who sent me."
